Google just launched Google +1 today a social sharing tool to allow you to +1 a website you like online, in the search results, even in the pay per click section and on YouTube.

This was a way for Google to compete with Facebook’s Like Button and help determine more relevant search results for users based on what their friends and connections +1 as a vote for that website.

This is important to you as a small business owner, website publisher, or blogger because this will be used in Google’s algorithm as a social signal.
