Quick Phoenix SEO Update Part 4

Usually every Wednesday we will get ranking updates from our Raven Tools platform we use to manage local internet marketing for our clients and our web properties. We checked this morning to see if our Phoenix SEO update from last week changed again after adding “Phoenix SEO” back to the site title and cleaning up our dedicated page within the site for Phoenix SEO. It did change as we moved back to the 5th position.

Phoenix SEO

We had a page title before that was too long and weren’t the primary keywords Phoenix SEO or Phoenix SEO Company but variations so we wouldn’t duplicate our site title. Since we took it out of the site title we used it on this page instead and cleaned it up.

Google likes that page for Phoenix SEO so we removed it from our site title today since this page is still showing on the first page after making the changes earlier. It also moved back to the 5th position and looks cleaner in the search result pages.

So today we went back to a cleaner Site Title for Local internet marketing and we will keep checking and monitoring the results. We will keep you posted with any other updates that can be helpful for your internet marketing strategies.

Phoenix SEO Case Study Part 3

So after taking “Phoenix SEO” out of the site title completely and our H1 tag we moved down to the 8th position on the first page of Google. Google also changed our position link from our home page to a dedicated page within our site for Phoenix SEO.

Phoenix SEO

We have added “Phoenix SEO” as the second keyword phrase after Local Internet Marketing  in our site title so let’s see what happens with this one change. We will leave our H1 the same at this time.

This is part 3 update for our “Phoenix SEO” case study you can read our last case study update to get up to speed.

Local Internet Marketing Case Study Update for “Phoenix SEO”

So back in December of last year we posted a Phoenix SEO case study to share our experience of launching our Stealth Media Agency brand and DBA of DIAP Media our internet marketing agency. Feel free to read the case study first to get caught up. Here is a quick summary:

  • Launched StealthMediaAgency.com March 2010
  • Was targeting the local internet marketing space at first
  • Changed Site Title and Anchor Text link building for “Phoenix SEO” in about August 2010
  • 13th spot for “Phoenix SEO” 1000 exact match searches in 4 months (when we wrote the Phoenix SEO Case study)
  • 35th spot for “Local Internet Marketing” over 4000 exact match searches

So we actually hit the first page for “Phoenix SEO” on Jan 31st, 2011 about a month and half after our case study where we thought it would be about another 4 to 5 months since the competition is fierce. But it only took about 5 months total.

Local Search Rankings

Our main goal for this was to test our SEO skills and build a case study for our sales calls with clients. There are sites on the first page of Google for “Phoenix SEO” that have been around for more then ten years and have over 50k backlinks. We respect our competition and we still haven’t hit any position higher then the 5th spot but we also happy with our work so far.

This is where it’s going to get interesting because after this post we are going to do a test again. We noticed with really no link building effort on our part with the anchor text local internet marketing we went from 35th to 17th for “Local Internet Marketing” which really was the whole reason we created this brand. We love local online marketing and have been in the game since 03′ as local internet marketing consultants for local job boards, online automotive classifieds, and local PPC management companies.

Also, it captures more of what we do since we don’t just focus on SEO alone. And especially with Google taking into consideration Social Media signals the SEO game has become more holistic and link building is more like an investment portfolio.

We actually prefer to have a new client start out with a new small business website that we build on WordPress with a killer Phoenix web design, conversion triggers, and Google Adwords Pay Per Click Campaign we can manage for them with call tracking and recorded calls. This gives us a better idea on what we can focus on for them on their website we manage that will help build brand equity, get online exposure, and convert into new sales.

Let’s see what happens when we take out “Phoenix SEO” from our site title. We will do another post in the future to give you an update on our testing and results. Luckily, our model isn’t a “numbers” game  and we work with an exclusive base of clients and do not accept new clients all the time.
